PROJECT EVENT AND REPORT: Better Returns in a Better World

On 2 December 2010 Ethix SRI Advisors hosted the Stockholm launch of the Oxfam report Better Returns in a Better World: The role of investors in poverty reduction and development.

The Better Returns in a Better World was initiated in 2008 and covered the following themes: Access to Medicines; Arms Trade; Decent Work in Global Supply Chains; Access To Water; Food Security: Investing in Farmland; Private Equity Investing in Developing Countries; and Transparency, Bribery and Corruption.

Ethix SRI Advisors participated in the project by hosting an investor workshop on the international arms trade in mid-2009 (URL http://www.oxfam.org.uk/resources/issues/privatesector/investmentworkshops.html#arms

Building on its longstanding engagement with investors on controversial weapons, Ethix SRI Advisors has joined Oxfam in coordinating Nordic investor’s action in support of an international Arms Trade Treaty.
