PRESS RELEASE: Ethix Advisory Council Established

Submitted by Ulrika Hasselgren on 15 June 2011

PRESS RELEASE: Stockholm 15 June 2011

Ethix SRI Advisors is delighted to announce the establishment of its new Advisory Council. The Advisory Council has been established to provide Ethix with strategic advice on its approach to norm-based screening, across the spectrum of human rights, environmental, labour and anti-corruption issues.

Ulrika Hasselgren (CEO, Ethix) said: “Ethix has led the way in developing the tools to enable investors integrate international norms on issues such as human rights and labour standards into their investment processes. To maintain our leadership in this area, we have established the Ethix Advisory Council to provide us with advice and input on how we can continue to develop and evolve our services in this area.”

Rory Sullivan (Chair of the Ethix Advisory Council) said; “I am delighted to have been asked to chair this distinguished group. There is growing international interest in how investors in the Nordic region use norm-based evaluations of corporate responsibility performance in their investment processes. The Ethix Advisory Council has a central role in this, not only through supporting Ethix as it seeks to develop its research and services in this area but also as a catalyst for mainstreaming norm-based approaches to responsible investment”.
