Team Ethix was established in 1999. Since then, we have helped institutional investors in the Nordic region and across Europe to develop and implement their policies for sustainable and responsible investment. Ethix is an international team of highly skilled advisors and analysts with strong academic background and thorough experience relevant to investors in this area.

Ethix is known for being innovative and solutions-oriented. The team pioneered the development of Norm-Based Screening in 2000 for Sweden's national pension fund AP7. Norm-Based Screening is today a standard for a large number of investors throughout the Nordic region and in several European countries.

Ethix has participated in and led various initiatives with investors, expert organizations in various normative fields and industry in discussions on international standards for corporate responsibility and their applicability to responsible investment. Examples are discussions on corporate responsibility in conflict-sensitive and high risk areas; investment implications of international negotiations for an Arms Trade Treaty; environmental standards regarding oil sands exploitation. 

Ethix was the first Nordic advisor to sign the UN Principles for Responsible Investment in 2006 and work actively with investors in implementing those principles. We served as partner in the development and implementation of the Carbon Disclosure Project’s Nordic report. We serve on the board of Eurosif, is founding member of Dansif and Finsif and board member of Swesif.
